The School Transport Service assess eligibility for children with SEND on a case by case basis in accordance with the School Transport Policy. They review the child's EHCP and medical evidence and consult with the Hampshire SEND service where appropriate as part of the assessment process.

A passenger assistant may be provided on some SEND transport routes. This will be based on the needs of the students travelling. You can find out more on our Passenger Assistants webpage.
Contacting the School Transport Service in an emergency
The School Transport service will continue to maintain an emergency phoneline which can be used to report accidents or immediate safeguarding concerns. You will be able to reach the emergency phoneline by calling 01962 846924. This phoneline is only to be used in an emergency - for calls about anything else, you will be redirected to the online enquiry form.
